Fall Caramel Apple Moscow Mule

This fall version of the Moscow Mule takes the classic combo of vodka and ginger beer, and dresses it up with cozy seasonal flavors. Caramel vodka, crisp apple cider, and a touch of brown sugar simple syrup bring sweetness and warmth, while a dusting of cinnamon and festive garnishes make it perfect for chilly nights or holiday gatherings. It’s autumn in a glass (copper actually) — refreshing, cozy, and beautifully presented.

Of course, the cup matters just as much as what’s inside. I personally use solid copper mugs from Williams Sonoma, and they’re great. Real copper naturally keeps your drink colder for longer and enhances the sharpness of the ginger and flavors. But if you don’t have authentic copper mugs, no worries — a replica copper mug still gives you the look and feel. I’ll include a link to a great Amazon option below, that is safe to use, so you can enjoy the same presentation at home without breaking the bank.

Ingredients

  • 1 1 copper cup (for serving)

  • 1.5 oz 42.52 ml caramel vodka

  • 3 oz 85.05 ml apple cider

  • 1 tsp 1 tsp brown sugar simple syrup (store bought or homemade)

  • 2-3 oz. 60-90 ginger beer (to fill)

  • 1 1 apple slice (for garnish)

  • 2 2 cranberries or pomegranate arils (for garnish)

  • 1 1 cinnamon stick (for garnish)

  • 1 Pinch 1 Pinch ground cinnamon (about ⅛ tsp or less)

  • Straw (optional)

Directions

  • Fill your copper cup with ice.
  • Pour in the caramel vodka and apple cider.
  • Add the brown sugar simple syrup and stir gently.
  • Finish by pouring in ginger beer to fill the cup, then stir lightly.
  • Garnish with a thin apple slice, cranberries or pomegranate arils, and a cinnamon stick.
  • Sprinkle a light dusting of ground cinnamon over the top.
  • Add a straw if desired — sip and enjoy!
