What is a Blueberry Lemon Fizz?

A Blueberry Lemon Fizz is a refreshing vodka cocktail that combines sweet homemade blueberry syrup with tart lemonade and finishes everything off with a splash of club soda for a light, bubbly finish.

Think of it as an elevated blueberry lemonade. The lemonade keeps the drink crisp and refreshing, while the blueberry syrup adds a fresh berry flavor and gives the cocktail its beautiful purple color. The club soda lightens everything up, making it incredibly easy to sip on during warm summer days.

This is the perfect cocktail for backyard barbecues, pool parties, brunches, summer cookouts, or simply relaxing outside on the patio. It’s simple enough to make in just a few minutes but looks impressive enough to serve to guests.

Ingredient Breakdown:

Vodka

Vodka provides a clean and neutral base that allows the blueberry and lemonade flavors to shine. Since it doesn’t overpower the other ingredients, it creates a cocktail that tastes light, refreshing, and balanced.

Homemade Blueberry Syrup

The homemade blueberry syrup is the star of this cocktail. It provides fresh blueberry flavor and gives the drink its gorgeous summer color.

One of the best things about this syrup is how versatile it is. Not only is it perfect in cocktails like this Blueberry Lemon Fizz, but it’s also fantastic in mocktails, iced teas, lemonades, desserts, pancakes, waffles, and even drizzled over ice cream.

Lemonade

Lemonade brings brightness and acidity to the drink while balancing the sweetness from the blueberry syrup. Blueberry and lemon are one of those classic summer flavor combinations that simply work together.

Club Soda

A splash of club soda gives this cocktail its signature fizz. It makes the drink feel lighter, more refreshing, and adds just enough bubbles without making it overly sweet.

An Easy Pre-Batched Cocktail

One of my favorite things about this Blueberry Lemon Fizz is how easy it is to make ahead of time.

Simply combine the vodka, blueberry syrup, and lemonade in a large pitcher or pour everything directly into a 1 liter bottle and refrigerate until ready to serve. This makes it incredibly convenient for parties and gatherings since guests can easily pour the cocktail themselves whenever they’d like a drink.

When it’s time to serve, simply pour the mixture over fresh ice and top each glass with club soda. Keeping the club soda separate until serving ensures every drink stays light, bubbly, and refreshing.

This is a fantastic option for summer parties, bridal showers, cookouts, pool days, and backyard gatherings because you can make everything ahead of time and spend less time bartending and more time enjoying your guests.
