Honey Deuce Cocktail
Nothing hits like an ice-cold Honey Deuce on match day. It’s hands-down one of the most refreshing and delicious cocktails I’ve ever had: bright lemonade, a pop of juicy raspberry, and that cool, lightly sweet honeydew aroma from the melon “tennis balls.” It’s crisp, tart-sweet, and incredibly sippable over ice.

By the numbers: in 2024 the U.S. Open poured 556,000+ Honey Deuces at $23 each—more than $12.8 million in sales. With three melon balls per drink, that’s roughly 1.68 million honeydew “tennis balls” scooped during the tournament, and suppliers shipped about 38,500 honeydew melons to make it happen.

The Honey Deuce is the official cocktail of the US Open, and sipping one while watching Carlos Alcaraz or Aryna Sabalenka go shot-for-shot—that’s tennis at its best. The iconic clear cup lists past champions, so every lift is a little history lesson. At the US Open they run about $23 each, but I’m going to show you how to make the same courtside flavor at home for a fraction of the price—the same bright lemonade base, raspberry liqueur finish, and those delicious melon balls on top. Cheers!
